Venezia-Pisa: post match

Paolo Vanoli:
"Pisa is a strong team with skilled dribblers, in the first half hour we struggled. If we go to press slowly and with little aggression the opponents' technique puts us in trouble. We made a major mistake on the goal and I was angry but we can work on that. Instead, I liked the character of the team, we knew how to suffer and then react and in Serie B you need this ability. To get to a dream you have to go through mistakes, which lead you to improve. I have to congratulate the boys, we knew how to react to a difficult moment and that is a good sign. Soccer is made of moments, I have always said that it is not easy to be in the upper parts of the standings. The league is long and we need everyone, I have to be good at taking advantage of each player's good moment and they have to be good at putting me in trouble. This team is made up of everyone, not just certain players.“


Nicholas Pierini
"Maybe we started a bit tense and after the goal we conceded so early we were a bit shaken up but luckily we managed to react, it was a breath of fresh air because certainly going into halftime on 1-1 gave us confidence to turn it around in the second half. I wanted to dedicate the goal to Idzes, I had the jersey prepared on the bench on purpose hoping to score, it went well and we hope to have him back on the field as soon as possible. The league is very long, it is too early to think about the standings. Our job is to prepare the games well during the week and to put the coach in trouble in choosing the lineup every weekend. Whether I score rather than another teammate doesn't matter. We are very proud of the fact that people support us and that the stadium is full.“
