Venezia FC welcomed a delegation of 25 undergraduate students from the CIMBA Italy program — an academic institution based at the La Salle International Campus – Istituti Filippin in Pieve del Grappa and affiliated with the University of Iowa — as part of an educational experience that combines sport, culture, and management. The orange-and-green club thus opened its doors to these students from the United States, who are currently spending a semester studying abroad in Italy.

During the visit, participants had the opportunity to engage directly with the world of professional Italian football, exploring topics related to sports management, marketing, and the operation of a football club. The meeting served as a practical exchange between academic theory and real-world application, offering students a privileged perspective on how an organization like Venezia FC operates.

Throughout the session, the students met several members of the club’s management team: Tancredi Vitale (Managing Director), Nicholas Vieira (Head of Brand Marketing), Romano Cinelli (Head of Commerce), and Andrea Rogg (Stadium & Operations). The meeting provided direct insights into the management of a professional club and how sporting performance, business strategy, and brand development are integrated in modern football.

The session opened with an introduction to the club and its organizational structure by Managing Director Tancredi Vitale, who outlined the role of the leadership team and the club’s main strategic directions. The participating students come from ten American universities, including Purdue University, the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and pursue diverse fields of study ranging from business and psychology to international relations.

On Saturday, March 28, a delegation of players and staff from Venezia FC Women took part in a meeting with the club’s orange-and-black Powerchair Football team. The Lionesses attended a training session, taking photos and sharing meaningful moments with the Powerchair athletes, reaffirming their support for a unique project within the Italian sports landscape.

Accompanied by Venezia FC Women’s Director Grazia Trentin and Secretary and Team Manager Marco Baloci, head coach Luis Oliveira and players Beatrice Airola, Salimata Ballo, Camilla Barbierato, Serena Cortesi, Melissa Doneda, Lynn Gismann, Alice Miani, Sara Novelli, and Alice Zuanti had the opportunity to experience Powerchair Football up close, even trying it themselves and taking part in the training session. The meeting was a moment of great human and sporting value, enriching both teams—the women’s side and the Powerchair Football team alike. The athletes had the chance to introduce themselves, share their experiences, and exchange perspectives on their respective realities, creating an atmosphere of mutual interest and respect.

The Powerchair Football team is a true national sporting excellence: it has recently triumphed in the Coppa Italia and the Italian Supercup, adding two prestigious trophies to an already impressive collection that now includes a total of 2 league titles (2024 and 2025), 2 Coppa Italia titles (2025 and 2026), and 1 Italian Supercup (2026).

This special visit from Venezia FC’s first women’s team highlights the club’s attention to all activities carried out in the local community. Vicenza took the lead in the 2nd minute through Boaretto, who capitalized on a scramble inside the box. Venezia responded quickly: in the 7th minute Girotto nearly equalized with a shot from the edge of the area that was deflected by the goalkeeper, and shortly after Willis also tried her luck, forcing another save for a corner. Despite Venezia’s efforts, Vicenza struck again with great efficiency. In the 12th minute Tarenzi doubled the lead, tapping in after an initial save by Pucova. The home side kept pushing and made it 3–0 in the 24th minute with a powerful shot from the edge of the box by Marchiori, followed just two minutes later by Pozzi’s fourth goal. Venezia tried to create chances, but the first half ended 4–0 to Vicenza.

In the second half, Venezia FC came out determined to get back into the match. In the 49th minute Cortesi tried from a set piece, and in the 53rd minute Ballo threatened with a shot deflected for a corner. Chances kept coming: in the 57th minute Girotto had a great opportunity in the box but failed to convert. Venezia finally scored in the 63rd minute, when Ballo took advantage of a mistake by the opposing goalkeeper to make it 4–1. In the closing stages, Venezia continued to search for openings, but the score remained unchanged. The final whistle from Frazza ended a match largely decided in the first half hour, where Vicenza made the most of their chances.
