Six Venezia FC players have been called up to represent their respective national teams ahead of the upcoming international fixtures in March.
Defender and Venezia FC captain Michael Svoboda will take part in two international friendlies with Austria in preparation for the 2026 World Cup. Coached by Ralf Rangnick, Austria will face Ghana on March 27 and South Korea on March 31. Both matches will be played at the Ernst Happel Stadion in Vienna.
Defender Ridgeciano Haps has been selected by Suriname for the 2026 World Cup playoffs. The Suriboys will face Bolivia in the semifinal on March 26 in Monterrey, and, if they progress, will meet Iraq in the final.
Defender Seid Korać has been called up by the Luxembourg national team for the two-legged clash against Malta, valid for qualification to the UEFA Nations League. The first leg is scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at the Ta’ Qali National Stadium, while the return leg will be played on Tuesday, March 31 at the Stade de Luxembourg.
Matteo Dagasso has been called up by head coach Silvio Baldini to represent Italy U21 in the qualifiers for the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. The Azzurrini will face North Macedonia on March 26 at the “Carlo Castellani - Computer Gross Arena” in Empoli, before taking on Sweden away on March 31 at the Borås Arena.
Midfielder Marko Farji will be involved with Iraq in the World Cup playoffs. The Lions of Mesopotamia will take the field at Estadio BBVA in Monterrey, Mexico, on March 31 against the winner of Suriname vs Bolivia.
Forward John Yeboah has been called up by head coach Sebastián Beccacece for two international friendlies with Ecuador ahead of the 2026 World Cup. La Tricolor will face Morocco on March 27 at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, before playing the Netherlands on March 31 at the Philips Stadion in Eindhoven.
