VENEZIA FC-LAZIO: POST MATCH

February 22, 2025

At the end of the Venezia FC-Lazio match, valid for Matchday 26 of the Serie A Enilive 2024/25 season, which ended with a 0-0 result, the arancioneroverde coach Eusebio Di Francesco, and Gaetano Oristanio analyzed the match as follows.

Eusebio Di Francesco:
"If we analyze the performance, I have to say it was of the highest level. There is great regret for not securing the victory, especially because we need points. I'm angry because when you play matches like this, you have to bring them home.
We worked a lot during the week because we had often found ourselves playing well until the 75th minute but then struggling at the first difficulty, dropping off towards the end of the game. Today, however, everyone who stepped onto the field gave their all. It's really disappointing—just like in other matches, the only thing missing today was the goal. The team was aggressive even in the second half, and as the minutes passed, Lazio struggled more and more, while we were pushing with all our strength for the win.
The fans were exemplary in every way. We need them to rewrite history. Today, we wanted the victory for them and for ourselves."

Gaetano Oristanio
"Today we deserved more than just one point, and we are all very disappointed. Facing a strong team like Lazio is never easy, but we did so with great effort and quality for the entire 90 minutes. We need to be more clinical and determined in front of goal because that is the only thing we are lacking. We manage to get into the box and create plenty of chances—perhaps in this aspect, we need to be more ruthless and play with greater composure."
