At the end of Udinese-Venezia FC Day 23 of the Serie A Enilive 2024/25 championship, which finished with the result of 3-2 Venezia coach Eusebio Di Francesco and Hans Nicolussi Caviglia analyzed the match as follows.
Eusebio Di Francesco:
"I think the team held the pitch well, but we were not incisive enough in the final 20 meters, where we should have done better by attacking the box with more determination.
It's a shame because in the last ten minutes, we had taken control of the game, and the momentum was on our side.
Today, we opted for a lighter attacking setup, aiming to put Udinese's defense in difficulty, but we lacked a finisher capable of converting the chances we created.
We will assess Stankovic's condition; it's very unfortunate because he is an important player for us, also for the contribution he provides in the buildup phase. I hope it’s nothing serious."
Hans Nicolussi Caviglia:
"The first half was hard-fought, while at the beginning of the second, we conceded two goals that could have knocked us down, but we never gave up, reacting with enthusiasm and determination, playing proactively until we reached the equalizer. It's really a pity to have conceded the last goal in such a naive way.
We remain focused on our daily work, following the coach’s instructions without getting distracted by other situations. Today, we played a proactive second half, which is a positive sign for our growth. I’m happy about my goal—I was in a position where I felt confident to shoot. The regret is not being able to take home any points after our comeback. Now we focus on the next match, where we will give everything to secure the three points."
