THE VENEZIA FC PLAYERS CALLED UP BY THEIR RESPECTIVE NATIONAL TEAMS

Six arancioneroverdi players have been called up to represent their national teams for the upcoming international fixtures.

Midfielder Issa Doumbia has been selected by the Italy Under-21 head coach, Carmine Nunziata, to take part in the training camp in Cesenatico in preparation for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, scheduled to take place in Slovakia from June 11 to 28.

Captain Jay Idzes will lead the Indonesian national team in the two 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against China and Japan, scheduled for June 5 and 10, at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta and the Panasonic Stadium in Suita, respectively.

Daniel Fila will take part in the Under-21 European Championship with the Czech Republic. Drawn into Group B, the Czech team will face England, Germany, and Slovenia.

Midfielder Mikael Egill Ellertsson has been called up by the Icelandic national team for two friendly matches against Scotland and Northern Ireland. The match against Scotland will be played on June 6 at Hampden Park, while the one against Northern Ireland will be held at the Clearer Twist National Football Stadium.

Ridgeciano Haps has been called up by the Surinamese national team to take part in World Cup qualifiers and the Gold Cup. The defender will take the field against Puerto Rico (June 7) and El Salvador (June 11). In the group stage of the Concacaf Gold Cup, Suriname will face Costa Rica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.

Lastly, Guinea-Bissau head coach Luís Boa Morte has selected defender Fali Candé for two friendly matches against Gabon and Burundi.
