The press conference of Giovanni Stroppa

October 24, 2025

On the eve of the away match in Carrara, coach Giovanni Stroppa speaks to the media about the team’s current form, sharing updates on the players’ condition and analyzing the upcoming match at the Stadio dei Marmi – Quattro Olimpionici Azzurri, scheduled for Saturday, October 25 at 5:15 p.m.

Giovanni Stroppa, Venezia FC Head Coach
Carrarese is a well-coached team that could cause us problems; they are a side that has really grown in consistency and has a strong playing identity. There are some similarities with the match we played in Castellammare, both because of the synthetic pitch and the quality of the opponents.

As always, we must make as few mistakes as possible and try to take advantage of every opportunity that comes our way. We need to be good at winning duels and also at managing a scrappy game, looking to make the most of the individual plays our players can produce.

Last Sunday in Empoli, at the end of the match, I wasn’t angry with my players. We put in a good performance, we got close to goal several times, and we have to keep working hard with our heads down. As with everything, if we keep performing like this, results will come away from home too. I will continue on my path without putting pressure on away fixtures.

Adorante and Casas did a good job in the last match. We have weapons in attack – including Fila and Yeboah – we are well covered offensively, and we will keep going this way. Plizzari got injured while kicking a ball in training; he felt discomfort in his knee. He underwent surgery yesterday and will be out for some time, but we are waiting for him.
