Ahead of Matchday 36 of the 2024/25 Serie A Enilive season, which will see Venezia FC take on Fiorentina at the “Pier Luigi Penzo” Stadium on Monday at 6:30 PM, arancioneroverde head coach Eusebio Di Francesco shared his thoughts on the team’s current form and their upcoming opponent.

"Fiorentina is a team that significantly strengthened during the winter transfer window, especially in midfield, where they can rely on players of great quality. They came close to reaching a European final, which speaks volumes about their strength. We’ll be facing an opponent who will come to the Penzo determined to win and take home all three points—exactly what we want to do as well. They are used to games like this and have experienced players who know how to recover their energy: expecting an uncompetitive Fiorentina or an easy match would be two serious mistakes we cannot afford to make.
For us, this will be an important match, one we must face with a knife between our teeth, with great determination and a will to fight until the end. We need to be meticulous in everything we do, approaching the game with focus and cleverness.
Our sole focus is on preparing for Monday’s match, so we can approach it at 110%, together with our fans, who I’m sure will once again be our twelfth man on the pitch.
Personally, I’m very happy to work in this club, with this ownership, this group of players, and in this environment. We all share a very strong desire to stay in the top flight—an objective that I can sense is shared throughout the club."
