The post-match of Venezia FC - Padova

March 17, 2026

At the end of the match between Venezia FC and Padova, valid for matchday 31 of Serie BKT and finished 3–1, head coach Giovanni Stroppa and midfielder Kike Perez analyzed the game as follows.

Giovanni Stroppa, Venezia FC head coach
Today was a difficult match that we approached the right way from the very start. Those first twenty minutes without the support of the crowd could have been tricky, but we pushed immediately and created many scoring chances. Coming back onto the pitch after two days and delivering a performance like this makes me proud. We could certainly have scored more tonight given the chances we had in front of goal, but I don’t feel I can say anything to my players; coaching these guys every day is extremely satisfying. Showing up at the training ground and working, then putting in performances like this, is really special. Hearing the crowd cheer for me fills me with pride—it means the work of my staff, who work 24 hours a day for these moments, has been recognized. From the very first moment I arrived in Venice, I felt the fans’ affection, and I would like to repay all this support on May 8 at the Penzo.

Kike Perez, Venezia FC midfielder
Tonight we won, we’re playing good football, but we have to stay calm. There are still seven matches left until the end, and we’re taking it one game at a time. On Saturday we have a very important match coming up; now we need to focus first on resting and then on preparing for the game against Monza. Today it was a must-win, not just for us but also for our fans. In midfield with Busio and Doumbia I feel very comfortable. I’m happy we’re having a great season, and we hope to keep it going until the end.
