At the end of the match between Pescara and Venezia, on Matchday 3 of Serie BKT 25/26, which ended with a 2-2 draw, Venezia coach Giovanni Stroppa and forward Andrea Adorante analyzed the game as follows.
Giovanni Stroppa, Venezia FC head coach
“Today we had the match fully under control, then we allowed the opponents to equalize. Credit must go to Pescara, but there are also situations we need to work on, such as ball management and consistency in our play. In the first half, we didn’t make the most of the chances we created, and at 2-0 we had the opportunity to close out the game. This match will definitely help us gain experience in the league, and we can all give a little more. The team eased off the pressing towards the end, and in the last ten minutes we need to keep our focus high on every situation.”
Andrea Adorante, Venezia FC forward
“I’m happy about the goal, but a bit disappointed with the result. We had the game under control, but then we switched off and Pescara caused us problems. In matches like these, the important thing is to take home the positives and work during the week on the mistakes we made. We need to be able to stay focused for the whole match, without dropping the tempo against any team. We know it’s a tough league, every opponent can cause trouble, and today we experienced that firsthand.”
