At the end of the match between Empoli and Venezia FC, valid for the eighth round of the Serie BKT season, which ended 1-1, coach Giovanni Stroppa and forward Andrea Adorante shared their thoughts on the game.
Giovanni Stroppa, Venezia FC head coach:
"This evening I’m disappointed to be heading home with only one point; we had several chances, especially in the second half, to score: Kike Perez hit the crossbar, Yeboah had a chance in front of the goalkeeper after a rebound, and Casas had a right-footed shot. In the second half we controlled possession, aside from allowing a few counterattacks to our opponents. It was a game where we grew into it; my team performed extremely well, it’s just a pity about the goal we conceded the way we did."
Andrea Adorante, Venezia FC forward:
"Today I scored my first goal from open play, and I’m happy to have finally unlocked that as well. Antoine knows I like to lose my marker at the far post, and he served me a perfect ball. I’m also very happy with the team’s performance; even if we return home with just one point, we put in a positive display. We knew Empoli would be a difficult team to face and we approached the match with determination. During the week we will analyze the details we need to work on so we can be ready for our next fixture."
