Ridgeciano Haps extends contract

Venezia FC are pleased to announce that Suriname international left-back Ridgeciano Haps has signed a contract extension through the 2025/26 season.

Haps, 29, arrived from Feyenoord on transfer deadline day in August 2021. After overcoming an early season injury, Haps made an impressive debut in a 1-0 win over Fiorentina in Giornata 8 and would not look back, establishing himself as the team’s first choice with his energetic play on the left flank, making 25 appearances during the 2021/22 Serie A season. Haps scored one goal (in a 1-2 win at Torino) and registered one assist (in a 1-1 draw agains Juventus) on the season.

At international level, Haps has earned eight caps for the Suriname national team.
