Primavera on-loan midfielder Damiano Pecile signs permanent transfer

Venezia FC are pleased to announce the permanent transfer of former Canada youth international midfielder Damiano Pecile, 20, from the Vancouver Whitecaps of Major League Soccer.
Pecile joined Venezia’s Primavera side on loan in May 2021 and made 22 appearances with nine goals during the 2021/22 Primavera 2 season.
Pecile is a product of the Whitecaps youth academy, and he would make one first team appearance in the 2020 MLS season finale before moving to Venice.
At international level, Pecile earned eight caps with Canada’s Under-17 national team, having made three appearances in the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup and five appearances in the 2019 CONCACAF U-17 Championship.
Pecile is a dual Canadian-Italian citizen.
