Press conference of Antonelli and Vanoli

This afternoon, Mister Paolo Vanoli and Filippo Antonelli, Sporting Director & General Manager of Venezia FC, spoke at a press conference to present the three-year project that the club intends to pursue, also through the renewal of the arancioneroverdi coach's contract.


Filippo Antonelli:
"First of all, I would like to publicly thank the president who, in his statements on Monday, expressed clear concepts and spent beautiful words towards the management and technical staff, confirming that there is full agreement regarding the reorganization project of Venezia FC for this year and those to come. This represents an extra motivation for all of us to work to ensure the growth of the club in all respects, making our fans proud. Venezia FC is a modern and forward-looking club that must aspire to strong competitive levels in the landscape of Italian soccer and beyond, I think the investment made in the sports center is an example of this.
To get to this goal, we must start from several cornerstones, including the continuity of the technical-sporting project of the First Team that will still be led by coach Paolo Vanoli, following his contract renewal for the next 3 years. The intent is clearly to continue the excellent work put in the field in the second half of last season, without declaring exaggerated goals but setting up a team of value, perspective and competitive. To accomplish this, I think it is essential to build a unity of purpose of all the components involved. One of the integral components of the project will definitely be the development of our youth sector, as we want to blossom new talents at home who have a great sense of belonging with the territory and the colors of the Club.“

Paolo Vanoli:
"I would like to thank not only the Club and the Director for this contract extension, but also my staff, because a coach without his staff is nothing. I must mention the arancioneroverdi fans who were our strength in the final part of last season and also thanks to them we achieved an unexpected result. I accepted the contract renewal because a clear project was presented to me, and the investment in infrastructure by the President is a very important signal in this sense.
Along the way there will certainly be difficulties. We have managed to fix many things, and I also see a different attitude in the team. We have to leave aside proclaims and work game by game with humility and ambition. Last year something extraordinary was done by reaching the Playoffs, and this year we must have a clear goal to continue on our path, also through young talents who are hungry and willing to grow. Economic sustainability is important, we have to spend wisely to leave an important capital to this Club.“
