Venezia FC is pleased to announce that manager Paolo Zanetti has extended his contract through the 2024/25 season. After leading the team to Serie A in his first season with the club, Zanetti’s long-term extension brings continuity to the ongoing development of the sporting side.

“We are very happy that Zorro will stay with us for the next period. With our success came many rumors, but we were confident that we would find an agreement. Our return to Serie A will demand more from everyone in the VFC family, and Zorro is prepared to do his part.

We shared an amazing championship together, and there is no doubt that a big part of our success was Zorro’s leadership. Our culture on and off the pitch is to do things differently, but above all to be a family. Zorro instilled this mindset in our players, and they brought a fighting spirit to the pitch, united as one until the end.

As we look forward to building on our success, continuity on the coaching side was our preferred outcome, and I am very pleased that we reached an agreement that is good for both Zorro and the club.

We are already hard at work developing our ideas for our first team and U-19 rosters, and are working equally hard in other areas to prepare for the new championship.”
