Venezia FC announces that it has reached an agreement with Strømsgodset for the permanent transfer of forward Marko Farji.
Born in Grimstad, Norway, Farji has signed a contract that will keep him at the orange-and-green club until 30 June 2030.
A product of Jerv’s youth academy, the 2004-born player moved to Strømsgodset in 2022, where he signed his first professional contract. To date, he has made 122 appearances, scoring 29 goals and providing 6 assists across league and national cup competitions.
Holding both Norwegian and Iraqi passports, Farji has already made his debut for the Iraqi national team, earning 8 caps so far.
Marko Farji:
“Joining Venezia FC is a source of great excitement and pride for me. I can’t wait to step onto the pitch in front of my new fans and feel their passion for such a historic club with a unique charm. I will give everything I have to make this fanbase proud of the team. I chose Venezia because from the very beginning I sensed a solid, ambitious club with excellent facilities. Representing an extraordinary city like Venice is a real honour. The team plays high-quality football and I can’t wait to put myself at the manager’s disposal to start this new journey together.”
Welcome, Marko.
