At the end of Lazio-Venezia, Day 1 of the Serie A 2024/25 championship, which finished with the result of 3-1, Venezia coach Eusebio Di Francesco and Magnus Kofod Andersen analyzed the match as follows.
Coach Di Francesco
“The team approached the match very well, of course some small mistakes compromised the dynamics of the match for us especially in the first half where we were suffering in the final. In the second half we returned to the field with the right attitude and in some moments we could have taken better advantage of important opportunities. Lazio in the restarts were good at putting us in difficulty but I have to congratulate the boys because beyond the different difficulties they were in the game for more than 80 minutes. I told the boys in congratulating them that this match must teach us a lot. In Serie A we have to concede as little as possible to teams like Lazio. We have to try to commit less naiveté and I hope that this match will be a lesson for us to better face the next ones.”
Magnus Kofod Andersen
"I am happy with the goal scored, my first in Serie A in an important Stadium, but I am very sorry that it did not coincide with a victory, because we always play to win and we are never happy not to collect points. I dedicate this goal to my family and it repays me for the hard work I have done over the years. My goal and the team's goal is salvation and that is why we will continue to work to improve by giving our best every day."
