In today’s press conference, Kike Pérez spoke about his arrival at Venezia FC, his adaptation to Serie A, and the challenges the team will face in the coming weeks.
"I am very happy to have arrived in Venice. From day one, both my teammates and the club have welcomed me very well, and I believe that Serie A is the perfect environment for my style of play.
We know we are going through a difficult moment, but we are working every day to improve. The understanding with my teammates is constantly growing, which is essential to facing the upcoming matches in the best possible way.
The next games will be very challenging, starting with the one against Atalanta, but we are ready to give our best in every match.
I chose Venezia because I strongly believe in the vision that was presented to me. I want to contribute to achieving our main goal: staying in Serie A next season.
I consider myself a versatile midfielder, able to adapt to different positions depending on the coach’s needs and my teammates' characteristics. I have no particular preference between playing in a deeper or more advanced role.
I was impressed by our fans and their passion for the team. They always support us throughout the entire match. It’s a different way of experiencing football compared to Spain, definitely more passionate, and their support will be crucial for us.
We are preparing very carefully, studying Atalanta’s playing style and the best strategies to counter them. We will try to take advantage of opportunities to play vertically and put our opponents under pressure."
