Venezia FC announce the acquisition of Dutch centre-back Jay Idzes, 23, on a free transfer. He has signed personal terms through the 2026/27 season.

Coming through the youth ranks of FC Eindhoven, Idzes debuts in the club’s first team in 2018, making a total of 53 appearances in Netherland’s second division. In 2020, the defender is acquired by Go Ahead Eagles, scoring three goals and making 5 assists in his 93 appearances for the team between the second division, the Netherlands’s top flight Eredivisie and the Dutch national cup, the KNVB Beker.
