Jajalo: “I couldn't wait to come back"

This morning, midfielder Mato Jajalo spoke at the press conferenze in VFC headquarter Ca’ Venezia:

"I feel good, I am healed. I worked very hard last week and then I also got to play 45 minutes in Saturday's friendly. I was looking forward to playing again, the first phase of recovery was focused on me and my physique now instead, once I am back in the group, I am very focused on the team and our opponents. The last few years have been difficult with two knee injuries, but I never thought of giving up or giving up, that is my mentality. My family has been very close to me, my wife and children are the thing that gives me strength in life.

Bari is a strong team, a complicated opponent with experienced players, however, we have to think about ourselves and continue as we are doing. When I arrived here I saw so much professionalism from everyone, the team was there and it just needed some time to grow. The performance this season is not a surprise, given also the end of last season in which no one believed we could make the playoffs, however, now we just have to look forward and not think about the past.“
