Venezia FC announces the signing of Danish striker Christian Gytkjaer. Arriving as a free agent, Gytkjaer has signed an agreement until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Raised in the youth sector of Lyngby, with whom he made his first-team debut, Gytkjaer, 33, moved to Nordsjælland in 2010, where he immediately won the Danish Cup and later went on loan to AB and Sandnes Ulf in Norway.

In January 2013, he was sold outright to Haugesund with whom he collected 44 goals and 10 assists in 91 appearances, which earned him a move to Rosenborg in January 2016, with whom he won the Championship, goalscorer's league and Norwegian Cup in 2016, scoring 23 goals in 39 games.

In January 2017 he moved to Monaco 1860 where he scored 2 goals in 18 games, before moving to Lech Poznań, with whom he totaled 65 goals and 8 assists in 119 games, graduating top scorer in the 2019-2020 season with 24 goals scored.

At the start of the 2020/21 season, he moved to AC Monza, and totaled 22 goals and 6 assists in 86 appearances, contributing decisively to the Brianzoli's promotion to Serie A.

At the international level, Gytkjaer has gone through the whole trafila in the Danish youth national teams, reaching the senior national team where he has scored 5 goals in 9 matches so far.

Christian Gytkjaer:
"I am proud to represent an unique city with so much history like Venice. I know Serie B, it is a difficult league and needs a lot of hard work but I am ready and charged."

Welcome, Christian.
