Venezia FC are pleased to announce the acquisition of Republic of Ireland international attacker Aaron Connolly, 22, from Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion on a one-year loan.

After coming through Brighton’s academy, Connolly first established himself in the first team in the 2019/20 season, and has made a total of 45 Premier League appearances with five goals and three assists over the last three seasons. In 2021/22, Connolly spent the second half of the season on loan to Championship club Middlesbrough, where he made 19 league appearances with two goals.

At international level, Connolly has earned eight caps with the Republic of Ireland senior national team, after representing his country at the Under-17, Under-19, and Under-21 levels.
