Club Releases Chic New Home Jersey with Tribute to a Local Cultural Legend

Venice, Italy – July 13, 2023 - Venezia FC (VFC), the professional football club of Venice founded in 1907, unveiled today its new 23/24 Home Jersey, which represents this year’s focus on the elegance of the city of Venice, its people, and its cultural spirit.

Following the successful launch of the collection with the 23/24 Pre-Match Jersey last week, the 23/24 Home Jersey, is a continuation of the campaign, shot by English photographer Sam Gregg, focused on celebrating the unique bond between Venezia FC, its fans, and its legendary city. The jersey is available for pre-order starting today at, at the official Venezia FC stores in Rialto and SS Apostoli, Venice, and at the Venezia FC store c/o M9 in Mestre.

The 23/24 Home Jersey is symbolic as it’s meant to capture a Venetian aura of elegance while relating it to a local cultural icon, the famous Venetian architect Carlo Scarpa, as a tribute to the work he represents, celebrating his delicate combination of craftmanship and design, apparent in this year’s Venezia FC 23/24 Home Jersey. The photos for this year’s home jersey were taken at the cultural institution of Fondazione Querini Stampalia, including the interior, exterior designs and garden elements by Scarpa within the historic building.

The design chosen for this year’s home jersey is in line with the Venezia FC fashion appeal known for its impeccable mix of tradition and modern designs, which distinguished the club in last season's home jersey.

In this year’s campaign, we focus on two core elements that fit perfectly with Scarpa's perspective. To quote Carlo Scarpa, "I would like a critic to discover in my work certain intentions, namely an enormous will to be within tradition, but without doing capitals or columns, because they can't be done anymore."

The Venetian architect's work is distinguished by attention to detail and artistic sensibility that blend with new architectural elements, preserving the elegance of Venice, which we aim to capture with both our jersey and this year’s campaign.

The uniformity of the jersey, created together with the German studio Bureau Borsche, include a collar similar to those gold profiles that Scarpa used in order to elevate his works while managing to maintain that elegant simplicity of pure forms that have always been one of his distinctive features. In the same way, gold was used for both the Club's and Kappa's logos, as well as for the inscription
"Città di Venezia," which for the first time is located on the side. Following this new style guide, Bureau Borsche chose to emphasize the island and mainland souls of the fans by placing an orange-green band in the center of the jersey that stands out against the black background of the uniform in an essential geometry.
