Venezia FC present 22/23 away shirt

July 14, 2022

As the second entry in the new season’s collection, Venezia FC present the 22/23 away shirt, which thoughtfully completes a yin-and-yang relationship with the 22/23 home shirt.

Whereas the home shirt, in deep black with subtle orange-and-green taping, has a tone of luxury, the away shirt, in a light cream with prominent orange-and-green stripes, has a fresh, sportier look. The neckline has changed from the home shirt’s collar to the away shirt’s crew neck, and the gold embellishments have also been flipped, as the Città di Venezia city script that was expressed in an elegant serif typeface on the home shirt now appears in a bold modern typeface on the away shirt. Yet the two diametrically opposed shirts — both designed by the renowned studio Bureau Borsche and produced by technical partner Kappa — are complementary and connected with a shared DNA: not only are they manifestations of a common minimalist approach, but the orange-and-green lines that run through both the home shirt and the away shirt are precisely equal 10 mm lines.

The campaign for the 22/23 away shirt — shot by Veneto-born and longtime New York-based photographer Alessandro Simonetti — features Venetian actor Daniele Barison, star of the acclaimed Yuri Ancarani-directed film Atlantide, a youth drama set in Venice around the cult of the barchino (motorboat), which premiered at the 2021 Venice International Film Festival.

The 22/23 Venezia away shirt — in both long-sleeved and short-sleeved versions — is available now for pre-order on shop.veneziafc.it.
