In the 15th round of the Women’s Serie B, Oliveira’s girls were unable to overcome Freedom and suffered a defeat at the “G. Taliercio” Sports Center. A quick brace from Berveglieri ended the Lionesses’ hopes despite a generous performance full of chances.

The match opened with a header from Errico that went wide past the far post. The Lionesses began to push forward and in the 25th minute Doneda tried a long-range shot, but the visiting goalkeeper responded well. Two minutes later, Cortesi delivered a wide free kick for Novelli, who was unable to find the decisive touch in the box. In the 31st minute, Furlanis struck the post with a volley, but the move was stopped for offside. Shortly after, at the 33rd minute, Ballo’s goal from a Saggion cross was also ruled out, again for offside. Venezia ended the first half on the front foot but without managing to convert their opportunities.

The second half changed the game suddenly: in the 52nd minute Berveglieri opened the scoring with a long-distance strike that made it 0-1. Just one minute later, the same forward, starting from the edge of an offside position, struck again to make it 0-2. Two goals down, the Lionesses tried to react until the very end. In the 38th minute Cortesi took a corner and Duarte rose highest for a header, but the ball went just over the crossbar. Despite a late push and substitutions made by Oliveira, the score remained unchanged.
