Hilmir Rafn Mikaelsson extends contract

Venezia FC are pleased to announce that Iceland youth international striker Hilmir Rafn Mikaelsson, 18, has signed a contract extension through the 2026/27 season.
This season, Mikaelsson has scored two goals for the first team in the 2022/23 Coppa Italia and two goals for the Primavera side in the 2022/23 Primavera 2 season.
Mikaelsson arrived in Venice in August 2021. Last season, he made 20 appearances with 5 goals and 2 assists for the Primavera, and earned his first team debut on 22 May 2022, coming on for Dennis Johnsen in the 73rd minute of Venezia’s match with Cagliari at Stadio Penzo in Giornata 38 of the 2021/22 Serie A season.
In international play, Mikaelsson has made 10 appearances with four goals for the Iceland Under-19s, and he earned his debut for the Iceland Under-21s last month in qualification for the 2023 UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
