PRIMAVERA 22/23: BRESCIA 2-2 VENEZIA

The Venezia FC Primavera traveled to Brescia and came away with a point in a hard-fought 2-2 draw at Centro Sportivo “San Filippo” to remain unbeaten through the first seven rounds of the 2022/23 Primavera 2 season

Although Venezia started the match on the front foot, the hosts would take the lead in the 33rd minute on a combination through the area with Samuele Grossi on the finish.

Venezia were quick to respond, with Icelandic starlet Hilmir Rafn Mikaelsson heading in a cross from Lorenzo Da Pozzo in the 42nd minute. And just before half-time, Venezia struck again to take the lead, with Da Pozzo again initiating the action, and Alvin Obinna Okoro putting away a rebound.

But just five minutes into the second half, Brescia would put the match on level terms once again on a strike from Paolo Scalmana. Through the rest of the half, Andrea Soncin's Venezia put heavy pressure on the hosts in search of all three points, but 'keeper Luca Sonzogni. Would make three exceptional saves to keep the score at 2-2 and the two sides would share the spoils.
